I'm the technology coordinator at Queen Margaret's School in Duncan, BC. In this role I have the wonderful opportunity to work with both students and teachers in integrating technology into the classroom. Teaching mathematics and science courses, as well as various media arts courses, allows me to "keep a hand" in the classroom which is very important to me. I intend to take my diploma in Online Teaching and Learning into a full Masters of Educational Leadership degree in order to further my learning, and my career.
At this point in the program I have had the opportunity to explore how I teach in a distributed learning environment. Through a number of assignments I have been able to both reflect on my own practice as well as explore possible strategies in working in a more distributed model. Some particularly engaging assignments can be seen in my e-portfolio.
